Welcome to Owls, where children make the exciting transition into Key Stage 2 and continue to grow as confident, independent learners.
Mrs Woods, supported by our Learning Support Assistants, creates a calm, welcoming and purposeful classroom where every child is encouraged to achieve their very best. Guided by our vision, Believe and Achieve Together, children develop resilience, curiosity and independence while taking increasing responsibility for their learning.
Year 3 is an exciting year of discovery. Children deepen their knowledge across the curriculum, develop greater confidence in reading, writing and mathematics, and learn to think more independently. Learning is carefully planned to build on previous experiences while encouraging children to ask questions, solve problems and challenge themselves.
Alongside their classroom learning, children enjoy educational visits, practical experiences and creative opportunities that bring learning to life. One of the highlights of the year is taking part in the Vocal Ease Concert, where children perform alongside other local schools, developing confidence, teamwork and a love of music.
