Keeping children safe is everyone’s responsibility
At Thringstone Primary School, safeguarding and child protection are central to everything we do. We are committed to creating a school where all children feel safe, valued and supported, and where staff, families and children work together to protect wellbeing.

What safeguarding looks like at Thringstone
We aim to:
• create a culture where children feel listened to, secure and respected
• recognise signs of harm or neglect
• respond quickly to concerns
• support vulnerable children and families
• work closely with external agencies
• use the curriculum to build awareness, confidence and life skills
Thringstone Primary School is part of Operation Encompass, working with Leicestershire Police to support children following domestic incidents.
When children move to another school, safeguarding records are transferred securely and confidentially.
