About Our Trust
Thringstone Primary School is a Single Academy Trust. As a stand-alone academy, the Trust is responsible for the strategic leadership, financial accountability and governance of the school.
Our Trust Board is made up of skilled local volunteers who bring a range of professional experience. Trustees set the long-term direction of the school, hold leaders to account for educational performance and ensure that public funds are used effectively to deliver the best possible outcomes for children.
The Trust is overseen by its Members, whose role is to provide independent scrutiny and ensure strong governance arrangements remain in place.
Key governance and financial documents, including our annual report and audited accounts, funding agreement, articles of association, memorandum of association, register of interests and scheme of delegation, are published below in line with statutory requirements.
Chair's Welcome
Wecome to the Trust Board page of our website. Here you will find information about the role of trustees and members, who we are and how to contact us.
Trustees are responsibile for monitoring and evaluating the performance and effectiveness of our school, working closely with the Headteacher and staff. They act as a critical friend and are not involved in the day to day running of the school but work more strategically, looking at how we can achieve our vision of 'Believe and Achieve Together' so that every child can acheive their full potential.
All Trustees are volunteers. Elections take place within school to elect our parent, staff and community trustees. So do look our for information on future vacancies or contact me for more information.
We meet as a full board 8 times per year and then as a Finance and Premises commitee. In addition we have a number of smaller working groups, which are involved in developing and reviewing different aspects of the work of the school and for specific projects, working on areas of our School Development Plan. Trustees are also linked to different subjects and are encouraged to meet with subject leaders to gain a better understanding of how the school operates. Trustees are also linked to specific areas such as safeguarding, health and safety, training, special needs, pupil premium and mental health and well-being.
As Trustees, we are committed to raising standards and hope that you will work in partnership with school staffand as part of our community to fulfill our vision, goals and aspirations. We believe that Thringstone Primary School is an inclusive and creative learning environment. Where all children and adults are valued and respected and diversity is celebrated.

Why I am so thrilled to become a governor of this school? - Well firstly I have a total lifelong passion for learning and helping others achieve their goals, make the best of their lives and motivate young individuals to view the wonders of the world and where it could lead them. When we moved to this area just over a year ago, a young fragile young lady became a learner at Thringstone, and wow how she has thrived! Confident, Happy, a love for school and all it entails. I am lost for words as to the impact on her life this school has had. For me I want to say thank you and help where I can to support and move the school in the direction it wants, support everything that enables this school to provide for the likes of my daughter. And I also want to understand more about how a great school is provided for, challenges it faces and what the future holds, regarding this how can I help make a difference.

I was invited to become a School Governor in 2010 and there have been many changes, both in the school and in the role of a Governor, in the last 13 years. The work is often challenging but always interesting because what happens to our children in their earliest years lays a foundation that impacts them for the rest of their lives; I want that to be a positive, affirming experience for every child that attends Thringstone Primary School, so I seek to help in the work of the school in any way that I can.
