Buzzards - Year 4/5

Welcome to Buzzards, where children continue to grow as confident, independent learners while developing the knowledge, skills and resilience they need for the next stage of their education.

Mrs Hallam, supported by our Learning Support Assistants, creates a calm, welcoming and purposeful classroom where every child is encouraged to achieve their very best. Guided by our vision, Believe and Achieve Together, children develop confidence, resilience and responsibility as they become increasingly independent in their learning.

Year 4 and Year 5 are exciting years of learning. Children deepen their understanding across the curriculum, tackle increasingly challenging concepts and develop the confidence to explain their thinking, solve problems and work collaboratively. Learning is carefully planned to build knowledge over time while preparing children for the opportunities and responsibilities ahead.

Alongside their classroom learning, children enjoy educational visits, practical experiences and wider opportunities that enrich the curriculum and help bring learning to life. Year 4 children also take part in Life Skills Day, working alongside children from neighbouring schools to develop confidence, independence and important life skills.
