Our Vision
At Thringstone, we are a school community that works together with confidence and enjoyment to achieve every child’s potential.
Each and every day, we Believe and Achieve Together ❤️💚
We are proud to be at the heart of our community, serving the children and families of Thringstone and the surrounding area. We set high expectations for learning, behaviour and attitudes, while supporting every child to grow in confidence, independence and resilience.
Through a broad and engaging curriculum, strong relationships and a clear focus on personal development, children develop the knowledge, skills and character they need to thrive both in school and beyond. We want our children to leave us as kind, curious and capable learners, ready for the next stage of their education and life.
Our Values
Our five values guide everything we do: how we learn, how we treat one another and how we grow. They are taught, lived and visible throughout school life.
Respect
We have respect for ourselves, others and our environment.
Resilience
We work hard, we are determined and keep trying when faced with challenges.
Teamwork
We work together as part of a community, learning about and valuing each other and helping each other.
Belief
We believe in ourselves and value ourselves, and have aspirations to achieve our goals.
Kindness
We show concern and care for the wellbeing of others.
These values are not just words on a poster. You will see them in action every day: in the way children support one another, speak up, show kindness and challenge themselves to do their best. Our values shape who we are as a school.
Our Expectations
We keep things simple and consistent.
Our three school rules are:
- Be Ready
- Be Respectful
- Be Safe
We explicitly teach what these expectations mean and revisit them regularly so children understand what success looks like. Whether children are in the classroom, outside or moving around the school, the message is the same. We look after ourselves, each other and our environment.
Good behaviour comes from calm routines, clear boundaries and strong relationships. Children feel secure, supported and ready to do their best. You can feel the difference the moment you walk through our doors.
You can read our full Behaviour for Learning Policy on the School Policies page.
We are proud of what we stand for and would love to welcome you to Thringstone.
Come and see it for yourself.
