Thringstone Primary School

Vision and Values

Our Vision

At Thringstone, we are a school community that works together with confidence and enjoyment to achieve every child’s potential.
Each and every day, we Believe and Achieve Together ❤️💚.

We are a school rooted in our community, proud of our village and the children and families we serve. We set high expectations for learning, behaviour and attitude, and support every child to grow in confidence, independence and resilience.

Through a broad and engaging curriculum, strong relationships and a clear focus on personal development, we ensure children develop the knowledge, skills and character they need to thrive both in school and beyond. We want our pupils to leave us as kind, curious and capable learners, ready for the next stage of their education and life.

Our Values

Our five values guide everything - how we learn, how we treat each other, and how we grow. They’re taught, lived and visible across school life.

Respect

We have respect for ourselves, others and our environment.

Resilience

We work hard, we are determined and keep trying when faced with challenges.

Teamwork

We working together as part of a community, learning about and valuing each other and helping each other.

Belief

We believe in ourselves and value ourselves, and have aspirations to achieve our goals.

Kindness

We show concern and care for the wellbeing of others.

These values are not just words on a poster. You will see them in action every day – in how children support one another, how they speak up, and how they challenge themselves to do their best. Our values shape who we are as a school.

Our Expectations

We keep things simple and consistent.
Our three school rules are:

Be ready
Be respectful
Be safe

We teach what these mean and make sure expectations are understood. Whether pupils are in the classroom, outside or walking through school, the message is the same. We look after ourselves, each other and our environment.

Good behaviour comes from calm routines, clear boundaries and strong relationships. Children feel secure, supported and ready to do their best. You can feel the difference the moment you walk in.

You can read our full Behaviour for Learning Policy on the School Policies page.

We’re proud of what we stand for. Come and see it for yourself.
