The Pupil Premium is additional government funding provided to schools to improve outcomes for pupils who may be disadvantaged.
At Thringstone Primary School, this funding supports pupils who are eligible for free school meals (FSM), those who have been eligible at any point in the last six years (Ever 6), children who are or have been looked after, and children from service families.
Our approach reflects our school vision of Believe and Achieve Together, ensuring that disadvantaged pupils are supported to overcome barriers to learning and achieve well alongside their peers. Pupil Premium funding is used to strengthen classroom teaching, provide targeted academic and pastoral support where needed, and ensure all pupils can access the wider opportunities and experiences that form part of school life.
Our Pupil Premium Strategy is reviewed regularly and published annually. It sets out how funding is used, how decisions are informed by evidence, and how impact is evaluated over time.
