Welcome to Robins, where children build on the strong foundations developed in Reception and become increasingly confident, independent learners.
Miss Bowers, supported by our Learning Support Assistants, creates a calm, welcoming and purposeful classroom where every child feels valued and encouraged to achieve their very best. Guided by our vision, Believe and Achieve Together, children continue to develop confidence, curiosity and resilience as they grow in both their learning and independence.
Year 1 is an exciting year of discovery. Children continue their journey with Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised, developing fluency and confidence in reading while strengthening their writing, mathematical understanding and wider knowledge of the world. Learning is practical, engaging and carefully planned, helping children build on what they already know and prepare for the challenges ahead.
Alongside their classroom learning, children enjoy educational visits, creative experiences and opportunities that bring learning to life, helping them make lasting memories while developing a love of learning.
