Thringstone Primary School

Anti-Bullying and Online Safety

A safe and respectful place to grow

At Thringstone, we work hard to make sure every child feels safe, accepted and valued. Kindness, respect and teamwork are part of daily life in the classroom, on the playground and online. Bullying is not tolerated in any form.

If concerns do arise, we act quickly. Children are encouraged to speak up and trust that adults will listen. Staff, families and pupils all play a role in creating a school where everyone feels they belong.

To find out more, you can read our Anti-Bullying Policy andĀ Behaviour for Learning Policy on the School Policies page.

For extra guidance, theĀ Anti-Bullying Alliance provides helpful advice for parents and carers.

Online safety at Thringstone

Children today are growing up in a digital world. That’s why helping them stay safe online is a key part of our curriculum and wider safeguarding work.

We teach children how to use the internet responsibly, understand risks and know what to do if they feel uncomfortable or unsure. This learning is built into Computing and PSHE lessons across school.

Whether they are watching videos, playing games, messaging friends or researching topics, we want children to enjoy the best the internet has to offer — safely and with confidence.

School devices are filtered and supervised, but we know that many online experiences happen at home. We work closely with families to help keep children safe wherever they are.

For extra support, theĀ National Online SafetyĀ website offers helpful advice for parents and carers.

You can also find tips on setting up parental controls on home devices via theĀ NSPCC Online Safety Hub

If you're ever worried about online abuse or exploitation, you can report it directly through CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection).
