Thringstone Primary School

PE and Sports Premium

The Government gives extra funding to primary schools to improve PE and sport. This is called the PE and sport premium. At Thringstone Primary School, we use this funding to make sure all children can enjoy high-quality PE lessons, take part in clubs, and have opportunities to compete.

PE and sport are an important part of our vision to Believe and Achieve Together. Our school values guide our approach to PE and Sport:

  • Belief – building confidence to try new challenges

  • Respect – showing fairness and sportsmanship

  • Kindness – supporting teammates and opponents

  • Resilience – developing determination and perseverance

  • Teamwork – achieving more when we work together

Being active helps children stay healthy, feel confident, and focus better in class. It also improves behaviour and supports learning across the curriculum.
