Trips, Visits & Visitors
At Thringstone, we believe some of the most powerful learning happens beyond the classroom. Whether it’s exploring a new environment, learning from an expert or trying something for the first time, these experiences stay with children long after the lesson ends.
Every class takes part in trips and visits linked closely to their learning. These may include visits to local museums, outdoor spaces or places of cultural interest. We also welcome visitors into school so children can learn directly from people with specialist knowledge. These opportunities bring learning to life and help children make meaningful connections.
Residential Visits
From Year 4 onwards, children are offered the opportunity to take part in residential visits. These are a valued and memorable part of school life and play an important role in developing confidence, independence and resilience.
Residentials give children the chance to build friendships, take on new challenges and experience learning in a completely different way. For many pupils, these trips become a highlight of their time at primary school.
