When children join Thringstone they become a member of a ‘House’. The names for the houses were chosen by the children and are named after trees which can be found in the school grounds. The theme was selected in a competition and reflected our proximity to the National Forest. The school houses are ‘Ash’, ‘Birch’, ‘Oak’, and ‘Willow’.
Members of staff award house points during the week for good work, manners and behaviour.
The points are collected at the end of each week by the House Captains and displayed in the school hall. The House Cup is awarded weekly during Achievement Assembly.
